Ran
Arthur Braun is one of the major combat choreographers
in Europe. After training with Brad Waller,
the BADC, the BASSC and a long formation period
and collaboration with Tony Wolf (“Fighting
Styles Designer” of the “Lord of
the Rings” Saga), Ran participated at
the course for fight directors held by the Society
of American Fight Director (SAFD) under the
supervision of Master Allen Suddeth and Richard
Ryan (“Troy”).
Ran collaborates with the main European theaters
and festivals as fight director and choreographer.
Between his main works, we mention those in
Italy, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Netherlands,
France, Austria, Estonia, Czech Republic, Belgium,
United Kingdom, Israel and USA. Thanks to his
theatrical approach to fight, Ran has been a
teacher in many acting schools in Europe. He’s
a member of the Independent Fight Director’s
Guild and of the International Dance Council.
During the summer of 2007, he has published
his first book, together with Master Antonio
Merendoni, “Stage Fencing”. During
the summer of 2009, he will publish his second
book “War Games”. |

USA and Japan.
- Stuntcoordinator/stunt performer on more than
30 film and TV productions, including international
productions.
- Instructed and choreographed fight scenes
in more than 100 theatre, film and TV productions.
- Has taught stage fighting professionally on
all levels in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Faroe
Islands, Estonia, Lithuania and Russia.
- Certified instructor and Head of Research
and Education, Nordic Stage Fight Society.
- More than 250 live permances in stage fighting
and period fighting techniques.
- Head of Circus Dept, KULTA Culture Centre,
Tromsø.
- Professional acting/performing experience
in feature and short films, TV, theatre, contemporary
circus.
